Musow means “woman” in Bambara, serving as a tribute to the countless African women who have turned food into a livelihood, a tradition, and a way of bringing people together.
As three African women with a shared love for the food and culture we grew up with, we wanted to create something authentic—introducing people to the beauty of African street food while giving those who grew up with it a little taste of home. That is why we created Musow: born from our memories, inspired by our culture, and made for Canada..

Across Africa, street food is part of everyday life—from the woman selling warm puff-puff in the morning and samosas shared with friends, to cold bissap on a hot afternoon and a bowl of creamy Dêguê, also known as Thiakry, enjoyed at home or on the go, these are the flavors we grew up with.
Musow was created by three African women who wanted to bring a piece of that experience to Canada with a simple mission: to celebrate African street food, honor the women who have carried these traditions for generations, and share our favorite flavors with everyone—from their hands, to ours, to your table.
